Donation Refund Policy

At Liver Research Network (“we,” “our,” “us,” or “Livernet.org”), we sincerely appreciate your support for our mission and your charitable contributions. Your donation helps us advance research and treatment for liver diseases.

Please review the following policy regarding donation refunds:

  1. Donation Irreversibility: As a non-profit organization, our operations are funded by your generous contributions. Therefore, donations are generally non-refundable. Your contribution is considered final and designated for our charitable purposes.
  2. Exceptional Circumstances for Refunds: Refunds may only be considered in the following rare and justifiable circumstances:
    • Fraudulent Transaction: If a donation was made without authorization or through fraudulent means (e.g., using a stolen card). In such cases, a refund request must be made immediately upon discovering the fraudulent transaction by contacting us via email.
    • Accidental Duplicate or Incorrect Donation: If you made an accidental donation, such as an incorrect amount, and you notify us immediately within 24 hours of the transaction. In this specific scenario, the request will be reviewed on an individual basis.

  3. Refund Request Procedure: If you believe your situation falls under one of the exceptional circumstances listed above, please send an email to: info@livernet.org.

    In your email, clearly describe the situation, provide transaction details (date, amount), and include your contact information. We will review your request within a reasonable timeframe.

  4. Refund Conditions and Processing Time: All refund requests are subject to review by the Liver Research Network management. Decisions will be made considering our policy, applicable laws, and the specific circumstances of each case.

Please note that:

    • In the event of a refund, transaction fees charged by payment processors or banks may be deducted from the refunded amount. These fees are associated with the original donation transaction and its return. Consequently, the refunded amount may be less than your original donation.
    • The refund process can take up to 30 business days to complete, depending on the policies of your bank and the payment system involved.
